Our Team

Hope. Authenticity.

Connection.

Renovating Hope believes in the transformative power of stories. Our practice is deeply rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity to alter the narrative of their life and take control of how their story unfolds.

We also recognize that all good stories have peaks and valleys. Our mission is to walk alongside our clients so that they don’t have to journey through the ups and downs of life alone. Through connection, we reveal the beauty that emerges from the process of healing.

As a whole, Renovating Hope believes in an even larger story of redemption that God is writing for the world. The goal of this practice is to spread that redemption to those who feel stuck and damaged beyond repair.

Our counseling practice allows people to discover the beauty within their own stories, redefine their narratives, and feel supported on their journey toward growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Meet Madeline Verdesca, MA

Master’s Level Clinician

Madeline joins Renovating Hope Counseling with over four years of experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings including hospital and community mental health. She believes every person brings a unique point of view to the counseling room and that each person is inherently valuable and has the capacity for growth, joy, and true fulfillment. Madeline practices from a client-centered approach, and she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Experiential Therapy techniques, with a trauma-informed approach.

In her work, she focuses on helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, spiritual/existential issues, trauma, self-esteem, ADHD, and emotion regulation. Her first priority is cultivating a safe, warm, and open space for clients to discover themselves, grow, and tackle any barriers that they’ve encountered on their journey. Likewise, Madeline believes God has a unique story for every individual, redeeming the broken and hurts in our past.

Madeline is married and has enjoyed living in Georgia for four years, coming originally from the west coast. She loves gardening, poetry, and going on walks with her labradoodle, River.

Madeline sees clients in person and via telehealth in Atlanta, GA.
