Valorie completed a master’s of science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Prior to pursuing counseling, Valorie spent over a decade coaching soccer collegiately and professionally in various states and abroad. The switch from coaching soccer to counseling reflects her deep desire to tend to others’ hearts well. She loves learning what makes people come alive, bearing witness to the pain of being human, and joining others as they discover and become more of who they are made to be. Her energetic and direct, yet curious and empathetic demeanor invites clients toward building lives of connection, hope, and wholeness.  Valorie enjoys story work and has completed the Certificate of Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level II through the Allender Center. She primarily uses relational psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, the Allender theory, and a system theory framework to collaborate with clients. She believes holistic care, especially for those with experiences of trauma, moves us towards the wholeness we are meant for. Valorie works with individuals aged 15 and older, and couples.

Valorie enjoys rollerblading, moving her body outdoors, and reading in cozy spaces. She lives with her husband and rescue dog, Jinx. As we all navigate the heartache of living outside of Eden, Valorie would be honored to join you on your journey.
